Who is
Ms. Sylvia Walter?
I
am happy to join the staff at Wolcott School as
the Coordinator of Special Education services for
the students.
I
earned my bachelor’s degree in business
education from Northern Illinois University, a
masters degree in education from Chicago State
University, and a second masters degree in
educational administration from Governors State
University.
For the past several years I have worked
at the ECHO Joint Agreement as Principal of the
Academy for Learning, Manager of the Division for
Behavior Disordered and At-risk Students, and
Manager of the Human Resources Department.

with educators, parents, and other professionals

environments for all students that strengthen
connections between home and school.

needs, promote appreciation of diversity in the
school community, or instruct on coping with peer
pressure.

With parents, teachers and administrators on
child development and selection of positive
behavioral strategies, effective instructional
methodologies and curriculum approaches.
